  • Those taking 6-8 week classes are allotted one 3 hour open studio session as a makeup for a missed class. This open studio time is an independent session without instruction. We cannot spread the 3 hours across numerous days.

These makeup sessions are offered during our open hours, Wed-Mon from 12PM-7PM. Please call us at 512-453-2111 to schedule your makeup session.

Additional Open Studio time is charged on a sliding scale basis of $10-20/hr.

  • Our 6/8 Week Classes now include 3 hours of open studio time per week!

We ask that students do not use open studio time on their last (6th or 8th) week of classes as there will not be proper drying & firing time to make new pieces prior to the glaze class.

The three-hours of open studio time must be used within the week and cannot be banked. For example, on the second week of class, you must use the 3 hours within that week or they are lost and do not roll over into the following week.

Students can schedule their additional 3-hour open studio time using the link on the student guide.

Only the allotted timeslots are available based upon studio space availability. There may be some days where we are unable to offer this time due to studio closures/holidays, etc.

Please check in with the techs in the main entrance at the beginning of the scheduled 6-week open studio time for that day and they will direct you to the proper classroom for that day. Please check out with the techs before you leave to ensure your space is properly cleaned.

Students are welcome to schedule additional time at a sliding scale rate of $10-$20/hr. This rate covers the cost of extra materials used outside of the 6-week course and the workspace during open hours.

**Please note all sliding-scale open studio hours must be scheduled (via phone call during open hours) ahead of time*

Please be very careful not to uncover any other students work as this risks their work. Please ask a tech for assistance if you are ever unsure of something.

We teach a variety of handbuilding, sculptural and wheel throwing techniques.

Classes are typically 6-8 weeks long.

We add new classes every few weeks, so check back soon or follow us here if we’re not actively enrolling.
